Gifts4Hope Running Gift Card Drive September 1-25

4-Hope of Massachusetts, Inc. has started running monthly drives for their 4-part organization. Letters4Hope just finished a successful Back to School Drive to encourage the kids on their list. Since January 1, over 60 families are on their list! During the month of September, another piece of their organization, Gifts4Hope, is running a Gift Card Drive to have gift cards for gas, food, clothing, other everyday items for families/individuals! 4-Hope of Massachusetts, Inc. was started in January 2013 by Emily Pember. 4-Hope of Massachusetts, Inc. consists of: Letters4Hope, Gifts4Hope, Celebrations4Hope and Reach4Hope. Celebrations4Hope helps people plan birthdays, holidays and family parties while dealing with a critical illness/sudden loss. Reach4Hope is an outreach piece, where individuals and families dealing with critical illness/sudden loss can ask for help regarding some kind of practical need and volunteers can contact 4-Hope to offer their help with the need (unless families are OK with their info being shared publicly so that people can get in touch directly. Celebrations4Hope and Reach4Hope also has drives planned for later on this year.

Pember was born with Spina Bifida and has experienced a lot in her own life when it comes to illness and sudden loss. She has a B.A. in Social Services with a minor in Journalism and has finished a Master of Arts in Religion. She will complete her Master of Arts In Counseling with a dual focus in Marriage and Family Therapy/Mental Health in May 2014.
