Gary Lang Auto Group announced the winner of the Oldest Vehicle Contest. Gary Lang was on the search for the oldest vehicle originally purchased from Gary Lang and still running.

McHenry, IL, September 11, 2013 --(PR.com)-- As part of their 30th anniversary celebration, Gary Lang Auto Group invited customers in to see who has the oldest Gary Lang vehicle still on the road in their possession.

The contest had four entries - all Chevy trucks. The three runners-up all bought Chevy S-10 pick-ups: Joe Sawirstowski of McHenry, ’95 Chevy S-10; Mike Flathau of McHenry, ‘94 Chevy S-10 and Dennis Dalby of McHenry, ’89 Chevy S-10. All were awarded a gift certificate for service work at Gary Lang Chevrolet.

The grand prize winner, Dennis Dalmann, of Cary, Illinois, was given a check for $1,983, as Gary Lang Chevrolet opened in 1983. He and his wife used the truck to pull their boat to the Lake of the Ozarks for several years. Now, they use it to transport their tandom bicycle. “Our first battery on the truck lasted nine years,” stated Dalby. “We have no trouble with this truck at all.”
