An international city, New Orleans is famous around the world for her history, her generosity, and her contributions to the world's culture. Starting September 19, G L-f de Villiers is offering five different walking tours of the French Quarter and the St. Louis Cemetery, a different one every day Thursday through Monday.

Special Preview Cemetery Voodoo Tour Friday, September 13, departing from Little Vic's, 719 Toulouse Street) at 10am.

The tours include the Literary History Tour; a Creoles, Americans, Pirates, and the War of 1812 tour; The Twirl, a Gay Heritage and Drinks tour, generously sponsored by Cathead Vodka, Mississippi's only legal distillery; a Cemetery and Voudou tour; and the French Quarter Stroll. The cost for the tour is $35 per person and the group size is limited to twelve guests, creating a pleasant atmosphere, responsive to individual interests and needs.

Each scheduled daily tour experience is partnered with a nonprofit and promoted by them through their media and other means. All profits go to participating charities and nonprofits such as Louisiana Bucket Brigade, Project Lazarus, the Beauregard-Keyes House, and the Pirate's Alley Faulkner Society.

The tours connect the rich culture of New Orleans with historic, architecturally significant landmarks and are led by local writer, historian, and long-time French Quarter resident Glenn DeVillier, a licensed guide since 1989.

The focus is on history, diversity, cultural heritage and enrichment, fun, music, and getting to truly understand what it means to know New Orleans.
