Lee's Summit, MO, September 14, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Years in the making, the International Feng Shui Guild (IFSG) is proud to announce the release of the Feng Shui Glossary Ebook in a simple to use and easy to read downloadable PDF format. A go-to resource of more than 300 of the top Feng Shui words, this dictionary embraces terms common to all perspectives of Feng Shui to benefit both the experienced professional and the Feng Shui newbie.

Feng Shui is a complex science and art – branching many cultures and traditions – with different terms, phrases, and definitions. As an inclusive professional organization, in 2006, the IFSG embarked on a mission to create a resource that would embrace and unite all perspectives while educating and informing their members. This body of work enveloped several IFSG members who volunteered their time for many months ensuring language, definitions, and references were accurate and fostered the all-encompassing vision, mission, and focus of the organization. It was important to the Board of Directors and Education Committee, that this resource bridge all traditions and perspectives.

Copyrighted in 2006, the Feng Shui Glossary had previously only been available to IFSG members as a personal resource and learning guide. However, in 2012, the IFSG embarked on a new mission to expand the reach of this resource to include the general Feng Shui public. The Board felt that not only their members would benefit from the information – but also any practitioner and especially those learning Feng Shui. Being able to look up these words to find the definition and origin, read more, reference other terms in a non-judgmental forum gives all who wish to know more an extra tool in their Feng Shui tool belt.

Given that the Feng Shui Glossary had only been available to IFSG members, a new group of volunteers spent time in 2012-2013 to re-craft the language and layout of the Glossary. Bringing a fresh eye to the text as well as creating a format available to the general public was a labor of love for this small but dedicated group. Bridget Saraka, IFSG CEO, says, “The International Feng Shui Guild Glossary is an exceptional resource that any Feng Shui professional or enthusiast shouldn't be without! An excellent addition to any library!”

Rosalie Prinzivalli, Board Chair of the IFSG (2005-2014) and co-author of the glossary says, “While our hope was that the Glossary would become a tool for unification in a Feng Shui world as diverse as our own IFSG community, I believe as members we were surrogates for the larger IFSG community and that the work of creating the Glossary provided a foundation for that unification to begin. Each time we willingly shared our knowledge; each time we respected, listened and trusted each other; each time we put aside personal differences to focus on the common goals, we strengthened the foundation of our hopes and, without knowing it, gave our members a roadmap of how to achieve their hopes.”

Developing resources and learning tools for the general public supports the IFSG mission and vision of expanding the reach of Feng Shui worldwide in a positive, encouraging, and inclusive way. The Feng Shui Glossary is the latest offering that does just that.

The International Feng Shui Guild is dedicated to its mission of advancing the practice, teaching and use of Feng Shui worldwide. The IFSG Feng Shui Marketplace plays a significant role in carrying out this mission—promoting and servicing the International Feng Shui Guild membership while inspiring the public.
