)-- Bruce Clarke, president and CEO of CAI, a human resource management firm that helps organizations maximize employee engagement while minimizing employer liability, announced that the company will host its 2013 Triad Employment Law Update on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. at the Grandover Resort located at 1000 Club Road. Executives, corporate counsels, HR professionals, managers and supervisors seeking insight into the latest developments in state and federal employment law are encouraged to attend.
The conference will offer attendees the latest information on North Carolina’s ever-changing regulatory environment for employers. Experienced and knowledgeable attorneys from Constangy, Brooks and Smith, LLP, will provide attendees with updates on state and federal employment laws and issues, including: wage and hour, I-9 compliance, immigration, off-duty conduct, health care reform, hiring practices, terminations and the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB).
The conference will begin with registration, breakfast and networking, followed by four general sessions and six breakout sessions taking place throughout the day focusing specifically on employment law. Early bird pricing is available for participants who register on or before Tuesday, October 8 and costs $219 for members and $255 for nonmembers. After the early bird registration deadline, registration will cost $259 for members and $295 for nonmembers.
