The Urban League of Central Carolinas Guild Auxiliary is Teeing Up for Its 20th Anniversary "Opportunity Open" Golf Tournament

100% of proceeds fund Urban League’s 21st Century Job Training and educational programs for unemployed, underemployed and youth in the community.

Charlotte, NC, September 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Urban League of Central Carolinas will host its 20th Annual Guild Golf Tournament on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Pine Island Country Club, Charlotte, NC.

100% of the proceeds from the Golf Tournament will go to support Urban League direct services such as the LYTE (Linking Youth to Technology through Education) program, which provides computer technology training for youth ages 6-16 in Mecklenburg and Union counties. Your charitable dollars also support the famed 21st Century Jobs training programs which provide Free training and Certifications for courses in Fiber Optics/ Broadband, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning as well as their Technology & Business Empowerment Skills Training (TECH-BEST) program which provides up-to-date computer skills training, resume writing and job placement assistance to the underemployed and unemployed.

The tournament will kick off on Friday, September 27, 2013 at Pine Island Country Club in Charlotte, NC, with registration and breakfast beginning at 7:30am and a shotgun start at 9:00am. Current sponsors include Carolinas Health Care Systems, Coca Cola Bottling Company Consolidated, Enterprise Holdings, Food Lion, Snyder’s Lance, TIAA-CREF and American EMO Trans, Keaton Barrow Realty and CBS Radio. Following the tournament, an awards and recognition luncheon will be held.
