Face Forward Charity CEO Deborah Alessi to Put Spotlight on Violence at Upcoming "A Gatsby Affair"

Domestic violence patient Audrey Mabrey to attend gala in Santa Monica as "victor not victim."

Beverly Hills, CA, September 25, 2013 --(PR.com)-- PeakPRgroup and Face Forward CEO/Founder Deborah Alessi are proud to have in attendance at the upcoming red carpet gala Face Forward brave patient, Audrey Mabrey who was brutally raped, beat with a hammer and set on fire by her ex-husband Christopher Hanney in November, 2009. Having 80% of burns on her body she has continued to inspire and raise her two young sons. Audrey has become a spokesperson against domestic violence and has shown extreme courage since her ‘attempted murder’. Face Forward charity have provided her with several pro-bono surgeries since this terrifying attack and helped her on her road to recovery, she is a true example of the highest level of courage, a true example of what victim to victor means.

As Audrey prepares to take the stage at the upcoming A Gatsby Affair on Sep 28th, at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica, which sheds the light on domestic violence, she said, “I can't say enough about Face Forward and the incredible blessings they fulfill! There is a tremendous gap in services with so many social issues that our country is currently facing and more importantly there is a void in human service between one another. Deborah, Dr. Alessi, and their entire team are soldiers for humanity and angels on earth! They are fighting back against a dirty secret we call domestic violence by not only getting the word out there but also providing a type of healing that otherwise might not have ever been fulfilled. I am eternally great full for the opportunity they have given me and for their overwhelming desire to change women's lives.”

Face Forward CEO/Founder Mrs. Deborah Alessi who tirelessly campaigns to help victims and raise awareness said, “Audrey is an inspirational example of courage, a true survivor. To endure what she has survived and still continue to fight to bring attention to this serious matter, well, what can I say, she inspires me beyond words, we at Face Forward are amazed daily and filled with pride at being an integral part of her recovery and being able to Face Forward with her life and raise her beautiful sons.”

The Face Forward Gala will address this serious matter but Mrs. Alessi said, “This is a very serious issue, but our upcoming gala will be a night of courage and optimism. The evening consists of red carpet, cocktail reception, gourmet dinner and entertainment by Grammy winning artist Macy Gray and X Factor’s Stacy Francis. Honorees include Dr Phil and Robin McGraw and ONEHOPE founder Jake Kloberdanz. It will be a wonderful evening for all who attend, we are hoping to raise a lot of funding to help others like Audrey.”
