Pittsburgh, PA, September 27, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- On Wednesday, September 24, Side Project Inc. staff and volunteers, Adam Casugrove, Jeffrey Fromknecht, Chelsea Banks, David Brown, Anne Fromknecht and Lauren Arnita gathered to present a donation of $1,750 to the Animal Rescue League of Western PA. Ann Yeager of the Animal Rescue League, accepted the check on behalf of Animal Rescue League, which is an “open-door” shelter located in the Homewood neighborhood of Pittsburgh. “Open-door” means that Animal Rescue League will shelter any animal brought to its shelter on the corner of Hamilton and Fifth Avenue. The shelter also provides a veterinary clinic, behavioral training services, and animal welfare advocacy. ARL is supported by donations from private individuals, and receives no government funding.
Side Project’s donation was raised at this year’s Tail-GREAT fundraising event, held in Pittsburgh in July. Tail-GREAT is an annual fundraiser, now in its eighth year, which is overseen by Side Project Inc. and managed by Side Project volunteers. This year’s Tail-GREAT brought together over 500 people to share in a day of fun, fellowship, and charitable giving, raising over $5,000 which has been donated to Western Pennsylvania charities. This is the second year that Animal Rescue League has been one of the beneficiaries of the Tail-GREAT.
