Senior Geomatics Manager Joins McKim & Creed

Houston, TX, October 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- McKim & Creed, Inc., an engineering, geomatics (surveying) and planning firm with offices throughout the U.S., announces that Jib Ahmad, RPLS, CFM, has joined the company as a senior geomatics manager. He will be based in Houston.

Ahmad has nearly 20 years’ experience in the land, seismic and pipeline surveying industries. His experience includes the development of large GPS control networks; site mapping; waterway mapping for FEMA in the Tropical Storm Allison Recovery Project; hydrology and hydraulics studies on watersheds in 12 southern Texas counties; large acreage surveys; industrial, municipal and commercial development projects; and surveying services for archaeological sites.

“Jib has managed a wide variety of surveying projects throughout Texas, and has been responsible for everything from project planning and scheduling to overseeing productivity and quality control. He is a valuable addition to McKim & Creed’s outstanding geomatics team,” said Jay Canine, RPLS, regional manager for McKim & Creed.

Ahmad is a graduate of the University of Houston and is an active member of the Texas Society of Professional Surveyors, the National Society of Professional Surveyors, the Texas Floodplain Management Association and the Archaeological Institute of America.
