Apex Rehabilitation and Healthcare Promotes National Case Management Week 2013

Apex Rehabilitation and Healthcare, one of New York’s premier skilled nursing facilities, is proud to join the Case Management Society of America in celebrating the Ninth Annual National Case Management Week from October 13-19th. Entities such as hospitals, managed care organizations and other affiliated healthcare organizations will be sponsoring events during the week to celebrate the thousands of dedicated and hard-working case managers.

New York, NY, October 18, 2013 --(PR.com)-- According to the Case Management Society of America, the purpose of Case Management Week is to shine light on the important job case managers provide in the continued care for patients. Some of their duties include providing patient education, overseeing the transfer of patients from facility to facility and verifying coverage with insurers, among a host of other responsibilities.

It is in this spirit of gratitude and respect that the healthcare community celebrates Case Management Week, as the work that case managers do often overlaps with the work of social workers, who are more publicly recognized. Because of this the dedicated work of case managers may go unnoticed.

“We love the case managers we work with and everything they do for us here at Apex Rehabilitation and Healthcare and we want to thank them for it. Case managers take the time to explain things in a clear and concise manner to their patients, among many other things. Celebrating them this week is our little way of saying thank you," remarked Ari Silberstein, Administrator at Apex Rehabilitation and Healthcare.
