IAEE to Host 26th Annual Iowa Energy Summit

Energy Experts Gather to Improve Energy Efficiency in the State of Iowa.

Altoona, IA, November 02, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Iowa Association for Energy Efficiency (IAEE), a member-based organization of energy professionals with a goal of providing resources and information on the critical issues of energy efficiency, will host the 26th annual Iowa Energy Summit Nov. 4-5 at the Meadows Events & Conference Center at Prairie Meadows in Altoona.

The annual conference is designed to inform and motivate attendees on several areas of energy efficiency, allowing them to step outside of their own knowledge areas and expand upon their insight into related energy topics. Its goal is also to offer updated information on the organizations throughout the state that are working to improve energy efficiency. There will be a pre-event welcome and reception from 5:30-7 p.m. Nov. 4 and an all-day conference from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 5 featuring workshops and presentations on a range of topics.

The 26th annual Iowa Energy Summit will feature keynote speaker Sen. Rob Hogg-D, who will speak on Everything Energy Efficient in the Climate Century. Other speakers for the event include Julia Gauthier — who will introduce Sen. Hogg — and Jason Steinbock, both of The Weidt Group, who will speak about Ongoing Performance: Feedback for Enhanced Energy Operations; and Mark Petri, new director for the Iowa Energy Center, who will discuss his new role and plans for the center moving forward.

“All speakers for the Iowa Energy Summit were carefully selected to offer attendees broader views and to spark new ideas to take with them and incorporate into their own new and existing projects,” said Erin Buchanan, conference committee co-chair for IAEE.
