San Diego Extrusion Tool Company Forms Joint Partnership

San Diego, CA, November 16, 2013 --(PR.com)-- B&H Tool Company LLC (B&H), a plastic extrusion-tooling manufacturer, has brought in a new investor and recapitalized the company under a limited liability corporation.

Effective October 21, 2013, new business partner, John Ulcej, will be B&H’s Director of Technology, Engineering and Manufacturing. Ulcej was an owner of Extrusion Dies Industries (EDI) and held leadership positions in the company that included President, EVP of Technology and Engineering Manager. Ulcej has over 30 years of plastic extrusion tooling design experience. Mr. Neville will remain in his current role as the company’s President and CEO.

Since purchasing B&H in 1994, Neville has seen a tremendous change in the domestic and international market for extrusion tooling over the last 20 years. Through all of the economic “ups and downs,” he has learned how important it is to manage revenue growth for B&H’s long-term sustainability. In order to navigate today’s economic environment, he knows it is critically important to provide innovation to their market.

“We needed to upgrade our capabilities in technology, engineering and manufacturing. That is why I am excited for B&H and our customers. John’s background, experience and commitment are a perfect fit for what we need to continue to service the needs of our customers, employees, suppliers and other constituents for another 46 years,” Neville comments.

Mr. Ulcej is a hands-on mechanical engineer who brings 30 years of plastics processing, tooling and metalworking experience to B&H, along with years of leading successful companies. “When John was at EDI, he sold dies to over 50 countries outside the U.S. and grew in annual sales more than 125% from 2003 to 2013,” adds Neville. “Both his insight and investment provide B&H the leverage to expand engineering and open up new markets – something we’ve wanted to do. John’s understanding of the needs of the plastics industry in terms of polymer processing, polymer flow analysis, tooling design and precision manufacturing techniques will guide B&H into new markets and expand those we currently serve.”

"I’m looking forward to the opportunities at B&H. We’ll continue to invest in the people and technology required to keep B&H positioned as a high-quality manufacturer of precision tooling for the wire, cable and tubing industries. Our vision is to become a state-of-the-art engineering and manufacturing facility that provides innovations in engineering and an expanded product line," says Ulcej.
