Chandigarh, India, November 22, 2013 --(PR.com
)-- The main activities of the APTHS are through its website, ad-hoc travel medicine courses/meetings in the region, and its biennial conferences. The society was formed in 2000, during the Bali APTHC3, in response to the growing regional interest in travel medicine and to act as a focal point to channel regional initiatives and energies. This newly developing entity of travel medicine in Asia has already seen successful meetings focusing on travelers health.
APTHC 2012 in Singapore was a highly successful event and the Society is hard at work to ensure that the next Congress in 2014 will be even better. The Asia Pacific Travel Health Society (APTHS) is committed to the promotion of healthy and safe travel to and within the Asia Pacific Region and beyond. They work closely with the International Society of Travel Medicine and many national travel medicine societies in the Asia Pacific region to promote and advocate travel health.
