HNC recently opened a 4500 square-foot Pacifica House facility in Carlsbad to offer patients an environment that’s a home-like alternative to staying in the hospital, and where they can safely and comfortably receive around the clock hospice palliative care. It’s the first freestanding hospice facility of its kind in North County with a registered nurse on site 24/7 and six private patient suites. Hospice of the North Coast was established in 1980 and provides a wide array of services to facilitate the needs of terminally ill patients and their families. HNC hosts a variety of fundraising events throughout the year and operates a resale shop as well as a family support camp.
