Monmouth County Underdogs to Collect Kongs to Help Shelter Dogs

Red Bank, NJ, November 29, 2013 --(PR.com)-- The Monmouth County Underdogs will be collecting Kongs from December 14, 2013 until February 14, 2014. At the end of the Kong Drive, volunteers from the Monmouth County Underdogs will deliver the Kongs, stuffed with peanut butter/treats, to the dogs at the Associated Humane Society - Tinton Falls.

Kongs are great enrichment toys that prevent boredom and improve the quality of life for shelter dogs while they're waiting to find their forever homes.

The Monmouth County Underdogs will be hosting a Kong Drive kick-off party that will take place on December 14th from 7-9 pm at The Cheese Cave in Red Bank, NJ. Admittance to the party requires a donation of $29/per person, which includes a variety of cheeses, breads, crackers, and jams. There will also be cupcakes & chances to win prizes. The event is BYO beer or wine. Attendees are asked to please also bring a Kong to donate to a shelter dog in need.
