Connecting Georgians to Coverage

Dalton, GA, November 29, 2013 --(PR.com)-- On Saturday, Dec. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Connecting Georgians to Coverage will hold a free information event on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) at Mack Gaston Community Center in Dalton, GA.

Individuals and small business owners can receive information and assistance with applying for health insurance through the marketplace exchanges created under the ACA. Certified navigators will assist residents and small business owners in understanding and accessing the new system. The Navigators will help residents sort through the information available in the Georgia Health online marketplace, which offers Georgians a gateway to affordable healthcare.

Certified by the state to provide confidential service, these navigators will help people evaluate their eligibility, inform them of available subsidies, compare options and enroll in the health insurance plan that best suits them.

Navigators will be available to meet during a set schedule of walk-in hours. Information about the health plans is available at HealthCare.gov or by calling (800) 318-2596.
