)-- SRS1 Software has released version 2.01 of Data Curve Fit Creator Add-in software ("DCFC"). DCFC adds new curve fitting, spline interpolation, and data smoothing functions to Microsoft Excel.
Engineers, financial analysts and other professionals depend on spreadsheets as a vital tool for organizing and presenting data. Spreadsheets increase productivity because they are easy to use, intuitive, and flexible.
Spreadsheets don't always meet the technical needs of every user, though. Many curve fitting and forecasting operations are difficult or impossible in spreadsheets. Users are often forced to export their spreadsheet data to specialized data analysis software to complete these tasks.
DCFC extends the capabilities of Microsoft Excel, and allows users to do more data analysis directly in their spreadsheets without transferring to other software. DCFC adds new functions to Microsoft Excel for weighted polynomial curve fitting, cubic splines, linear interpolation, and data smoothing (moving average, median and Gaussian).
DCFC also adds more advanced "Flex-Fit" and "Flex-Spline" functions for users who want more control over their results. The "Flex-Fit" function performs a local regression (a.k.a. "Loess") fit. Users adjust the fitting window size and fit order of the "Flex-Fit" to achieve a perfect fit. The "Flex-Spline" is a customized spline function which allows users to set the slope of the resulting curve at any point.
DCFC integrates seamlessly into Microsoft Excel and requires very little time to learn how to use. If users know how to use Microsoft Excel workbook functions then they already know how to use DCFC.
Data Curve Fit Creator Add-in comes with full help documentation, as well as a sample workbook which fully demonstrates each new spreadsheet function. Data Curve Fit Creator Add-in can be downloaded and purchased for $29.95 from www.srs1software.com. Discounts are available for multiple license purchases.
