Nation Leagues, Toronto-Based Sporting League, Launches Canned Food Drive

Toronto, Canada, December 22, 2013 --(PR.com)-- Nation Leagues, an organization offering fun and competitive sporting leagues for softball, dodge ball, basketball volleyball and hockey in the Toronto area, is now providing players with the chance to give back to their community through their annual canned food drive.

The food drive is set up in a manner that allows teams to donate as a whole. All proceeds will be going to the Daily Bread Food Bank. The goal is to collect 250 cans by the end of the drive, and teams and players can donate by bringing their contributions when they show up to their game for the week and giving them to the Commissioner, Ref or Scorekeeper.

Players that donate $10 or more worth of canned goods will receive $5 off of next season's registration fee, while the team that donates the most amounts of canned or perishable goods will win a special prize, for which preferred requests are welcome.

Nations League is excited to offer the participants of their games this chance to give back to their city and community during the holiday season. At a time when the spirit of giving is so widely rampant, they're proud to play their part and reach out to the athletes and sports enthusiasts that make up their player base in order to help out people in need in Toronto.

Players who are interested in donating to Nation Leagues canned food drive can bring their contribution to the Commissioner, referee or scorekeeper of their game for the week.
