BodyFrontier.com Provides Tools to Achieve Better Health, Adding New and Innovative Fitness Technology to Their Product Line

BodyFrontier.com adds ECG heart monitoring, cycling, and iHealth products to their website, encouraging consumers to embrace the technology’s potential.

New York, NY, December 30, 2013 --(PR.com)-- From late December through January 2014, BodyFrontier.com will be rolling out several product expansions to coincide with New Year's resolution planning, and the 2014 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). Included in the new product line will be the iBike line of GPS enabled cycle computers, iPhone compatible data sensors for cyclists and triathletes of all skill levels, the Cardiac Designs’ ECG Check application, and iHealth products for blood pressure, weight, and oxygen monitoring.

Ahson Pai, founder and CEO of BodyFrontier.com, is especially excited to be adding the Cardiac Designs ECG Check application to their website. It is a smartphone ECG heart monitoring application plus over-the-counter single lead ECG monitor, which collects precise heart rate data. For individuals with heart conditions, this technology will provide heart rate monitoring, as well as the ability to harness telemedicine, making it much easier for these patients to connect with their doctors from their home, office, or car. Although these applications and devices are no substitute for a visit to a cardiologist, they are excellent supplements when a doctor's visit is not possible.

Ahson Pai commented on the addition of these products to the BodyFrontier.com lineup. “We believe providing tools enabling individuals to capture otherwise unavailable health and fitness data, and really in-source their health and fitness, will allow them to improve their health in ways that are just becoming possible.”

BodyFrontier.com consumers on social media channels such as Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ are reportedly buzzing with excitement over the new product lineup. Many of these devices will allow consumers to leverage health data to obtain meaningful context around their progress, while allowing them to take their health and fitness to the next level in the new year.

Ahson Pai spoke to his company’s other efforts to help their health-conscious consumers. “We are also continuing to develop more content on how best to use these devices on our blog. Typical features include how-to guides, product comparisons, and interviews with contestants or users on blog, BodyFrontier.com. For example, we recently had interviews with contestants from NBC’s Biggest Loser on the use of the BodyMedia FIT fitness monitors.”

The founder and CEO sees BodyFrontier.com as enabling the personalized health care revolution. “State government and federally funded plans are fine for what they offer, but if you want to lower insurance premiums over the long haul, enabling individuals by putting these tools in the consumers’ hand to measure their health and improve it is key to enabling that change,” Pai commented. He believes that consumers will be leading this change, as opposed to institutions. The benefit of lowered premiums and lowered healthcare costs will be felt most strongly by the end users.

Ahson Pai is confident that these products are key to the future of health care. According to Mr. Pai, “These smartphone enabled technologies are going to do to fitness and health care what the GPS did to the map, and give consumers a much better way to navigate their way to improved health.”
