Dartmouth Total Fitness Rings in the New Year with Free Senior Fitness Classes

Dartmouth, MA health club, Dartmouth Total Fitness, will be offering free senior group exercise classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Classes are free and open to the public.

Dartmouth, MA, January 07, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Total Fitness Clubs (TFC) announced today they will be offering free senior fitness classes at their Dartmouth, MA location Dartmouth Total Fitness. These classes are free and open to the public.

Enrollment in the senior exercise classes is simple. Seniors (ages 55+) who wish to participate will need to bring a form of ID card and for those who are part of the Healthways SilverSneakers® program will be asked to show their Healthways Membership Card.

“Having the ability to offer senior fitness classes for free to our community is a great way to show our support for a healthy community. These classes are a great way for seniors to work out, stay in shape and socialize,” said Dave Parker, Manager, Dartmouth Total Fitness.

These moderate 45-minute exercise classes are intended for seniors who want to remain active and will be taught senior certified fitness instructors. The classes focus on muscle strength, flexibility, strengthening joints, balance and coordination. Classes will use a chair for seated and/or standing support and will incorporate exercises with hand-held weights, elastic tubing for resistance, stretching and relaxation exercises.
