Daniel Levine Introduces the First Big Trend of the New Year

The trends expert is noting a shift in how individuals interact with each other.

New York, NY, January 05, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Trends specialist and public speaker Daniel Levine is revealing some of the biggest trends of 2014. As the New Year dawns, new trends will come forward with interesting ideas and creative ways of doing things. Levine is noting that one of the year’s biggest trends is meet up culture.

“There’s an interesting push to get people to interact with each other,” says Levine. “Once, all efforts to get people to meet seemed to focus on online communities. Now, the phenomenon seems to be going the other way.”

As the year goes on, more websites will be trying to find places for people with similar interests to meet in person. It’s a trend that’s becoming big on sites like MeetUp, where group outings are arranged through common interests. Also growing are in-person events organized by online dating websites, as companies appear to be seeking an advantage in a competitive space. The trend is even starting to feature off-line products meant to encourage interaction- including a cake that promotes communication and getting together in person.

“This movement is a reflection of the narcissism caused by smart technology,” says Levine. “Developers are trying to pull people away from their devices and focus instead on having fun and interacting with each other. This trend is a reflection of everyone trying to get along.”
