B2BGateway Looks Back on the Season of Giving

Boston-based EDI provider lends helping hand to neighbors in need this holiday season.

Boston, MA, January 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- With the long lines, crowded stores and Christmas parties now a seemingly distant memory, B2BGateway takes a look back on the 2013 holiday season. 2013 held a lot of big changes for the international, third-party EDI provider, but that didn’t slow them down from making the season a little brighter for their neighbors.

A vast majority of the B2BGateway staffers reside in the tiny and lovely state of Rhode Island. 2013 certainly had its fair share of ups and downs across the globe. From a massive blizzard in February leaving Rhode Islander’s snowed in and out of power for days on end, to legalizing gay marriage along with welcoming Taylor Swift to the neighborhood, the smallest state had a full plate.

With so much going on, the B2BGateway staff decided it was necessary to take even bigger strides than previous years to give back to their community. While gearing up for the busy season at work, employees all made it a point to bring in non-perishable food donations for the local food bank. When all was said and done, staffers from the Rhode Island and Massachusetts offices had donated more than 70 pounds of food to the Rhode Island food bank just in time for Thanksgiving.

The spirit of giving didn’t stop there. B2BGateway decided to adopt a local family in an attempt to fulfill all of their Christmas wishes. With a very modest wish list including clothes, books and toys for the two children, the company did their very best to get them everything they desired.

Even with the holidays behind everyone, B2BGateway is making strides to help their community 365 days out of the year.
