Birmingham, AL, January 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- While it didn't make the list of Ten Most Dangerous Jobs in America, Notaries have reason to be concerned about their safety. Last year, a notary public in Erie County, Pennsylvania was assaulted and robbed at gun point.

Notaries for Alabama welcomes Detective and Sargeant Juan Rodriquez, of Robbery and Homicide Division of Homewood's Police Department. Rodriquez' "Safety Talk" is for Notaries and Signing Agents who have frequent interaction with the general public at home or at the office. Detective Rodriquez will offer practical and professional advice on steps notaries can take to avoid common safety mistakes, and how they should respond when danger is imminent.

Registration is required due to limited seating. Refreshments will be served. To register go to http://www.meetup.com/Notaries-for-Alabama. Contact the meeting organizer at Notaries4Alabama@Gmail.com and (205) 626-9399.
