San Antonio, TX, September 29, 2007 --(PR.com
)-- Aahh, choo! Cedar season is rolling around again, and we’re gearing up for the onslaught of antihistamines and kleenex, watery eyes, runny noses, and in-general grumpy dispositions. However, permanent relief for allergy sufferers may come from a place they’d never think to look-- their own minds!
As a professional hypnotist for the past eight years, Kathy Moore says she has some programs that she feels work better than others. Allergy relief is one of those programs that is extremely effective, in her opinion. The eight-year veteran hypnotist has used the method (an NLP or neurolinguistic programming technique) on dozens of clients. She says she is so happy with the effectiveness of the “One-session Allergy elimination” technique she offers a “money back” guarantee.
The theory behind the hypnosis/NLP technique is that allergies occur due to a mistake in the immune system. Dust, pollens, dander and other allergens are not dangerous; however, the body reacts to them as if they are. Once a substance is flagged as a danger, it will always cause an allergic reaction until the immune system is re-educated.
The miscommunication occurs like this: Macrophages, octopus-like white blood cells in the immune system, search out and ingest foreign elements in the body. If the macrophages recognize an element as dangerous, they send up a warning flag.
The warning flag causes Helper T-cells to rush in. The Helper-T’s have a marker, like a key hole, on their sides, and, if it links to the macrophages’ flag element, the Killer T-cells are called in.
Killer T-cells charge in like an infantry armed with histamine. The histamine is released to explode the “perceived dangerous” element. And, you have an allergic reaction.
Most allergies get created for two reasons, Moore believes. They might be caused due to emotional experiences over a period of time or from a single, catastrophic event. They may or may not be emotionally laden, but there is often an environmental overload.
Take the example she used of Ms. X as a case in point. Ms. X developed allergies to house dust and several other allergies . When she came in for an allergy session, she spontaneously regressed to a time when she, as a child, was hauled into the doctor by her mother who constantly told her and her siblings that they had allergies. She says her mother was very hypervigilant about allergies as her own mother had died due to respiratory complications.
In the Allergy Elimination hypnosis session, Moore asks clients to choose a harmless substitute substance for the allergen. For example, people frequently use a medicinal herb like rosemary to substitute for cedar or mold. Then they visualize a “clone”of themselves outside a protective barrier, interacting with the harmless counter element, yet having no adverse reactions. Gradually the allergen is substituted for the counter and the “clone” self is merged with the allergic self The entire process takes about an hour the first time.
The only drawback, according to Moore, is that the technique only works on one allergy at a time. However, the process gets faster and faster, and multiple allergens can be eliminated one after the other as the client gets more adept with the process. Clients are advised to have an allergy panel completed before they start the program to serve as a benchmark.
Moore says she has personally used the technique to eliminate cedar, mold, oak and pet dander. Her Texas clients primarily use it for the “biggies,” cedar and mold. However, she has used it on all sorts of airborne and food allergies. Most with wonderful results. There really only appear to be two reasons why an allergy elimination session might not work. First, the person has a vested interest in maintaining the allergy. Maybe it helps them get out of work or buy more attention from friends or family members. Or, they are overly suggestable to the negative comments of others. When working with a technique such as this, it is best to avoid negative people, the “doubting Thomases’ of the world who might undo the positive suggestion by using negative suggestion.
