Local Training for Alabama Notaries

Birmingham, AL, February 01, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Notaries for Alabama will be one of the sponsors of Notary Basics for the Alabama Notary Public, scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2014, from 9:30 am – 4:30 pm at the Homewood Public Library, in Homewood, AL. The cost is $35.

“Notary Basics is ideal for first-time notaries, or commissioned notaries who have never received formal training,” explains Michelle Riley, founder of Notaries of Alabama, and long time Alabama Notary. Riley will also be the lead trainer for Notary Basics.

“Finding quality, classroom-style notary training in Alabama isn’t easy,” adds Riley. “Other companies offer computer-based training, but most don’t cover the laws that are Alabama specific – and that’s the important part,” she explains. “Notary Basics combines Alabama-specific requirements with industry best practices to provide comprehensive training. We’ll cover the role and responsibilities of the Alabama Notary, the proper way to notarize documents, and the steps to take obtain a Notary Commission.”

To register for Notary Basics, students can call or email Notaries for Alabama at (205) 626-9399 or notaries4alabama@gmail.com. Students can also obtain more information, at www.meetup.com/Alabama-Notary-Training/.

Notaries for Alabama (N4A) was founded in 2013. As Alabama’s only local networking group for Notaries Public, the group recognizes the need for quality notary education. Notaries for Alabama offers training, mentoring and networking opportunities.
