Malia, Crete: Where Tourism and Culture Become One

The Municipality of Hersonissos has released its third video of a series launched in recent months to promote the destination. The third video focuses on Malia Crete.

Hersonissos Crete, Greece, February 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- In the video entitled “Malia Crete – Where Tourism & Culture Become One,” the municipality highlights the cultural and traditional side of the destination and focuses on the amazing fiesta organized every year in June, in the beginning of the tourism season.

The fiesta is held every year in the traditional village of Malia as a welcome to visitors and aims to pass the message that in Malia, tradition and tourism can be united – something very obvious on the video as visitors are seen enjoying themselves during an evening with local Cretan dishes and drinks in the company of local residents.

Malia is a renowned resort with great beaches and a lively party atmosphere, so lively that tourists refer to the destination as the “party capital of Crete.” It is among the most popular tourism destinations of Crete and one of the most popular in Europe. It is mainly visited by young tourists from the UK and Northern Europe.
