Showrooms and Communities Unite to Support Children with Skin Diseases and Their Need for Jason International MicroSilk Hydrotherapy Bathing

Compassion and Generosity Abound for Children Struggling with Skin Conditions

North Little Rock, AR, February 08, 2014 --(PR.com)-- It’s not just industry professionals and hydrotherapy experts that see the difference MicroSilk makes — it’s families and their communities as well. While anyone can discover the cleansing and exfoliating effects of MicroSilk in a local plumbing showroom, making MicroSilk part of a daily, at-home skin care regimen can be both a life changing project and a weighty undertaking. Showroom professionals and concerned individuals alike have taken it upon themselves to relieve the financial burden some families bear in integrating this skin hydrating hydrotherapy into their homes and daily lives.

Developed with the skin in mind, a MicroSilk® bath incorporates a unique technology that cleanses, exfoliates, and moisturizes the skin with an oxygen-rich blanket of microbubbles. The hydrotherapy system saturates the bath water with oxygen and tiny bubbles small enough to enter pores to remove toxins for superior cleansing and hydration.

“The difference was so remarkable, it was a dream to think we could have this bath in our home!” said Victoria Rotondo. The Rotondo family took their daughter Mary Elizabeth, 2, to the dermatologist’s office weekly to bathe in MicroSilk. It was the one day a week she had relief from her case of lamellar ichthyosis, a genetic skin disorder with no cure. With Mary Elizabeth’s constant fight against the elements and infections, the relaxation their baby experienced was worth the 140 mile drive.

Not soon after the Rotondos acquired a bath for their home, the local paper featured Mary Elizabeth on the front page. Faced with the costly task of remodeling their bathroom and installing their new bath, the word got out about Mary Elizabeth’s new skin care tool—MicroSilk. Mary Elizabeth’s father Anthony Rotondo is a golf course maintenance professional in Inverness, Florida, at the Citrus Hills Country Club. On hearing of the upcoming remodel project, the club members got together to support the Rotondos, and to make a space that Mary Elizabeth needed to improve her quality of life. On July 19, 2013, over 200 golfers and community members gathered for a tournament and silent auction and raised over $6,000.00 for a bathroom remodel and the installation of Mary Elizabeth’s MicroSilk bath.

Deeply grateful, the Rotondos continue to give back by raising awareness about ichthyosis and the constant care the skin disorder requires. “Since the tournament, I have been invited to be a guest speaker at several events to speak about ichthyosis and how it affects our household,” said Anthony. “People are surprised to learn that my day starts at 3:30AM and ends at 9PM. In conjunction with the care Victoria and I provide for Mary Elizabeth, the results with MicroSilk have been excellent, and Jason International will always be a part of our life.”

Just a few months later, in Lubbock, Texas, Lydia Harris took her infant son Maverick to a Morrison Supply plumbing showroom to see if a MicroSilk bath could relieve her child’s acute case of eczema. The Harris family and the showroom professionals alike were impressed by the significant difference MicroSilk made for baby Maverick.

“After one bath Maverick looked better. After two, great. And after three, the improvement was so outstanding, even the skeptics in the showroom were believers in the benefits of MicroSilk. We knew the Harris family had to have a MicroSilk bath, and so did they,” said Jaime Martinez of Morrison.

Knowing that a bath purchase and installation project was impractical for them at the time, Jaime and the professionals at Morrison reached out to the community and into their own pockets to make relief a reality for baby Maverick. Compassion, generosity and word of mouth purchased the bath in just weeks. “Customers, builders, and our own staff came together to support the Harris family. We know it will make a difference for Maverick and for the family’s quality of life.”

“I can’t talk about them without crying. The people at Morrison are the most amazing people I’ve ever met. And as a nurse, this bath with simple air and water has changed the way I think about medicine. MicroSilk is truly amazing,” said Lydia.

The impact of MicroSilk is noticeable, and it’s enhancing appearances, improving health, and changing lives. To learn how you can contribute to or coordinate a fundraising campaign for an individual or family in need, contact Tena Dick tenad@jasonint.com, 501.771.4477
