Judging Criteria
Contestants will be judged equally in four separate categories:
“TV Spokesmodel” --In the capacity of Little Miss SAVED News and Jr. Miss SAVED News, one of the winner’s responsibilities will be to appear on SAVED News TV from time to time; therefore, an ability to speak and be comfortable in front of a camera is paramount. Contestants will give a brief introduction of themselves with an approximate time frame of 60 seconds. Judges are looking for how each contestant is presented on stage, how well the contestant speak, and level of comfort with the television camera.

“Evening Gown” — The theme of the pageants is “The Spirit of Excellence,” a dignified look, stage presence and personality will speak louder than how much is spent on a gown. SAVED News' desire is for contestants to be able to enjoy and afford the pageant. Every contestant has an equal chance of winning the highest title irrelevant of how much is spent on a gown or the designer’s name. Poise, grace and the authenticity of persona will be the criteria for judging.

“Talent” — Talent is a competition where contestants display their gift and all genre (i.e., vocal, dance, musical, acting, spoken word, etc.) are accepted as long as it is parallel to the beliefs of SAVED News. Contestants are to consult with the SAVED News pageant coordinator for questions. Each finalist will be given three (3) minutes to perform talent.

“Fundraising” — As Little Miss SAVED News and Jr. Miss SAVED News, the winner may be called upon from several non-profit organizations to make a personal appearance. The fourth judging criterion is fundraising; contestants may fundraise in several areas: ticket sales, sponsorships, souvenir booklet, and general fundraising efforts.
