Be Rewarded with WOU Friends and Family Programme

Penang Island, Malaysia, February 26, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Wawasan Open University (WOU) equips adult learners with quality tertiary qualifications and professional skills that enable them to lead more enriching lives through its unique Open Distance Learning (ODL) approach.

To date, more than 13,000 students have continued their higher education journey with WOU. Having experienced the brilliant idea of learning and earning at the same time, they took the initiative to share their learning experience and the benefits they have enjoyed at WOU with their friends, colleagues and family members.

Since signing up in January this year for Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting, Kawsalya Durai Rajan has stepped into the role of a WOU Student Ambassador, actively sharing the benefits of WOU’s education with her friends and family members.

As a proud WOU Student Ambassador, Kawsalya had successfully introduced two of her friends to continue their education at WOU.

“When I share about how convenient and flexible to study at WOU, I found out that my friends are actually looking around for courses that can help them to upgrade themselves professionally and for personal enhancement,” said Kawsalya who had just finished sitting for her examinations.

Under the WOU Friends and Family Programme, student ambassadors stand to enjoy rebates on their tuition fees for each successful enrolment secured either for ODL or On Campus Learning (OCL) full-time programmes.

Enrolment for OCL full-time studies May 2014 intake is now open. Newly registered and existing students are invited to participate in Friends and Family Programme by sharing WOU’s education with their friends and family members.

To apply for the full-time degree programmes, you must possess a minimum of two Principals in STPM/A-Levels or at least five grades B in UEC Senior Middle III or Diploma/Foundation/Matriculation or equivalent qualifications.

Meanwhile the commencement for ODL July 2014 intake is on 24 March 2014. Adult learners can apply through Regular Entry or via WOU’s unique Open Entry Admission System that takes into consideration the individual’s work experience. For open entry into the degree programmes, those aged 21 years and above with a minimum PMR/SPM/MCE/UEC/Diploma or equivalent qualifications and with related work experience, are eligible to apply.
