Chrysalis Careers: First of Its Kind Staffing Firm

Baltimore, MD, March 10, 2014 --(PR.com)-- A Towson University alumnus is coming back to campus to do a big favor for students preparing to enter the work place, whether they have graduated or have a few years left until graduation.

Jeff Martin, President of Chrysalis Careers, a service that assists graduates in finding jobs in a professional setting, is offering a free “boot camp” to students.

The camp will develop professional skills in students so they can quickly find a job after graduation, Martin said.

“I’m here to show companies how young, college graduates can become the leaders of tomorrow,” he said.

A main focus of the camp will be how to accurately complete an application, in its entirety, Martin said.

The boot camp will focus on wide variety of topics including social media review along with resume assistance.

“We’ll make your LinkedIn profile match your resume…we’ll spruce it up,” Martin said. “LinkedIn photography will also be offered.”

The process will be intense when camp officials will have a student turn off their phone. The boot camp advisor will call the cell phone and listen to the voicemail to see how professional it is, if at all, Martin said.

“The moment you create a profile put a picture up on LinkedIn, you need to have a professional sounding voicemail message…you have a better chance of getting a call back,” he said.

The boot camp will not be held on campus; instead, it will be at the Chrysalis Careers office in building in Fulton, Md.

“This gives students the opportunity to experience rush hour, finding the building and getting a parking spot…everything you would have to do in a real scenario,” Martin said.

The program will also focus on personal branding, mock interviews, and skills assessment practices, according to a flyer produced by the company.

“Our mission is to put college graduates to work,” Martin said.
