Team Walking 4 Juanita of The Cleveland Chapter of The Alzheimer's Association's "Walk to End Alzheimer's" to Host Charity Easter Egg Hunt

Team Walking 4 Juanita, a volunteer team for the Alzheimer's Association's "Walk to End Alzheimer's" is committed to raising both awareness and funds to support the research, treatment, and cure of this disease, along with, the services that the Alzheimer's Association provides for those affected with Alzheimer's and their family members/ caregivers.

Cleveland, OH, March 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Alzheimer’s is a brain disease that slowly and continuously obliterates the brain cells causing one to lose their memory and the ability to care for oneself. At present, Alzheimer’s is the 6th leading cause of death in America. There is an estimated 5.1 million Americans already living with this disease. These numbers will grow dramatically in the years to come if we as a community do nothing to support the research that can eventually find a cure. Team Walking 4 Juanita, is committed to the ongoing support of the Alzheimer’s Association and those affected by the disease.

In a continued effort to support the research, treatment, and cure for Alzheimer's disease, Team Walking 4 Juanita will host a Charity Easter Egg Hunt, in support of the Alzheimer's Association on April 19, 2014, in the Cleveland, Ohio area.

Lawanda Walker, Team Captain of Walking 4 Juanita, says that she is "delighted and honored to be hosting an event that will educate the community about such an important topic, while allowing the children to have fun in preparing for the Easter Holiday." She states that “the funds raised will make a powerful impact in the effort to fight this tragic disease and support the services offered by the Association such as, the Helpline for Caregivers, Care Consultation, Early-Stage Services, the SAHRE program and Caregiver Support Groups, just to name a few."

Mrs. Walker states "During the egg hunt, there will be several opportunities for the children to receive and/or win prizes while the adults take advantage of the information regarding Alzheimer's disease that will be presented." She encourages everyone in the community to get involved.
