Super-Hair.Net Honors Top Hairstyles of Year with Crown Awards

Super-Hair.Net presented its annual Crown Awards for top hairstyles of the year, as selected by voters online.

Wichita, KS, March 15, 2014 --( Victoria Azarenka is intense on the tennis court. Zooey Deschanel is funny on prime-time television. Yet both women have some things in common. They both have cover-girl beauty. They both have great heads of hair. And they share top honors at the celebrity hair website Super-Hair.Net, by winning three Crown Awards.

Weeks of online voting culminated with the naming of Crown Award winners in a live chat Thursday night. Azarenka was named Best Long Hair of the year for the second year in a row, along with Best Hairstyle in Athletics and Best Blonde. Deschanel captured Crowns for Best Bangs, Best Hairstyle on Television and Best Brunette.

"Best Long Hair was the only category where Azarenka and Deschanel went head to head," said the overseer of Super-Hair.Net revealed. "Zooey rallied from behind to win the third of three weeks of voting. But 'Vika' had a big early lead in votes, so she won by 33 to 29 percent."

Other top-level Crown Awards were won by actress and voiceover artist Jessica Little, who was awarded the Best Short Hair prize; Under the Dome star Rachelle Lefevre, named Best Curls; and Amy Adams, whose 1970's-era looks in American Hustle earned her Best Hairstyle in a Movie for the second year in a row.

Other Crown Award winners included singer Shania Twain, ESPN sportscaster Suzy Kolber and Shreveport, Louisiana TV news anchor Jody Lowery. The full list of winners with pictures of their styles are posted in the Crown Awards area of Super-Hair.Net. Visitors also can review winners from 13 prior years.
