Fiesta on Siesta Key 2014

St. Augustine, FL, March 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Fiesta on Siesta Key is one of the largest collegiate sand competitions for NCAA institutions in the country. This Spring 32 Colleges and Universities from around the United States will compete, including 16 NCAA Sand Volleyball programs. New participants in the NCAA Sand Volleyball competition include: Louisiana State University, University of South Carolina, Grand Canyon University and University of Alabama Birmingham. The Fiesta will also feature a separate division for Junior/Community Colleges who are fielding teams in the event.

The format for the Fiesta this year will reflect the same as what was implemented last Spring. The three-day event will allow Sand Volleyball programs to maximize their participation to fulfill their NCAA Sand scheduling requirements. Sand programs will compete in true NCAA Sand competition on Friday April 11 and Sunday, April 13. On Saturday April 12 schools with indoor/court programs will compete. Play will start on Friday with eight dual competitions, and will end Sunday with pairs and singles competitions.

This year at the Fiesta, Siesta Key will host USA Volleyball High Performance Beach National Team tryouts for players who are in the following age brackets: U21, U19, U17, and U16. Selected players will be asked to participate in USAV National camps and events. Rox Volleyball will be selling swimwear onsite.
