IP UtiliNET Academy for Industry Hosts Security Officer Training Course

IP UtiliNET Academy for Industry is hosting a Security Officer Training Course April 1-3 at Club Entrepreneur in College Park. Those that complete the course will become certified as security officers based on requirements under the Georgia Code.

College Park, GA, March 27, 2014 --(PR.com)-- IP UtiliNET Academy for Industry, a 501(c)3 organization housed at Club Entrepreneur in College Park, is hosting a Basic Training Security Officer Certification Course April 1-3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. The 24-hour course meets requirements of O.C.G.A. 509-3-.02 certification requirements.

The course is being taught in partnership with Hunt Security Services, an Atlanta-based full-service security and investigative services firm offering 20 years of law enforcement experience. Hunt Security’s training draws from partnerships with military, law enforcement, risk management and underwriting.

The thee-day course covers the role of public and private security; use of force; fire prevention, hazardous materials, bomb and IED threats; basic patrol techniques; elements of search and seizure and other topics. Class participants will be certified as security officers upon completion of the course.
