Y Pierre Productions Presents an Upcoming Event: 2014 Rise Awards Will be Held on November 7, 2014

Atlanta, GA, April 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Y Pierre Productions proudly presents an upcoming event entitled 2014 Rise Awards will be held on Friday, November 7, 2014 and in Porter Sanford III Performing Arts & Community Center, 3181 Rainbow Dr, Decatur, GA. The awards will be honoring extraordinary individuals with Down syndrome. This is a red carpet, black tie event that will celebrate and honor the accomplishments of advocates with Down syndrome. RISE stands for Rising in Spirit of Expectations, an event that is filled with special presentations and live entertainment for the honorees.

The Rise Awards was created by Yvonne Pierre, an African-American wife and proud mom of two sons. Her youngest son was diagnosed with Down syndrome after his birth in 2002. Yvonne began advocating in 2005 through various projects and the awards is one. In the year 2012, she wrote, directed and produced, "Then You Stand," a stage play about a pregnant woman whose unborn baby was diagnosed with Down syndrome and about all the different phases she went through, then her acceptance.

Tickets will be officially available for sale in April 2014, and people are encouraged to join the event. The main goal of the Rise Awards is to give enlightenment and inspiration to the audiences through the achievement of people with Down syndrome and through celebrating and emphasizing the inspiring stories of all the honorees. The event has a lot to offer not to mention the live performances of some excellent talent including Viva-Brazil, Sujeet Desai, The God Sent Project, and Leaf.

Yvonne Pierre runs and operates the Y Pierre Productions, a for-profit, Limited Liability Company. And she uses all her talents, voice and compassion to raise awareness about Down syndrome and to help make a difference to those who have Down syndrome. She commits herself to being a supporter and a believer of people with Down syndrome. Through the RISE platform, she is dedicated to telling such wonderful stories as well as to further broaden positive awareness.

People hear about the things that people with Down syndrome are incapable of doing, but in fact some are professionals, graduates, entrepreneurs, actors, painters, advocates, and more. Sadly, these are stories and truths that aren’t often heard and seen. In order to address this sad reality, Yvonne Pierre offers Rise Awards to tell about the great stories about these amazing individuals. People are being encouraged to join the forthcoming event and help make a difference to the life of those who have Ds.
