EXILANT’s a Vendor to Watch in Gartner’s Research Note Emerging Market Analysis: India's Top 10 Technology Trends and Drivers in 2014

Bangalore, India, April 17, 2014 --(PR.com)-- EXILANT today announced it has been mentioned as a vendor to watch in Gartner’s Top 10 Technology Segments in the Emerging Market Analysis “India's Top 10 Technology Trends and Drivers in 2014” report published on March 06, 2014. EXILANT’s innovation laboratory, ZagLabs, has made strides into cutting edge technology like the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine to Machine (M2M) communication.

According to the Gartner research, “The IoT has the potential to transform industries. It will grow rapidly, connecting millions of new devices, people and places and allow them to deliver and share information, enhancing business value, creating competitive advantages and delivering new business opportunities.”

Last year EXILANT released the first ever lightweight library implementation of the Constrained Application Protocol (CoAP) specification on the Microsoft .NET Micro Framework. EXILANT’s CoAP Sharp Library implementation is available on www.coapsharp.com under LGPL license.

The Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) Constrained RESTful Environments (CoRE) Working Group has performed the majority of CoAP standardization work and Internet Engineering Steering Group (IESG) has approved its specification in July 2013. CoAP is a software protocol specifically designed for interactive communication between small resource-constrained machines in an Internet of Things (IoT), the next big network revolution where machines will converse with each other utilizing the information highway with very little or no human interaction.

Mr. Rangarajan Narayanan, Senior VP, EXILANT said, “At ZagLabs, our innovation laboratory we have come together to create an ecosystem where Exilites come together to dream of concepts and create technology for the future.”

The head of Zaglabs, Mr. Vishnu Sharma envisioning the future said, “Machine to Machine (M2M) communication and the Internet of Things (IoT) will completely change the way we lead our lives. One day my car will have the capability to automatically interact with a service station to replace a worn out battery.”
