International Geothermal Workshop Announced by GRC

The Geothermal Resources Council will present a two-day course in Jakarta before the 2nd Indonesia International Geothermal Conference and Exhibition.

Davis, CA, May 03, 2014 --(PR.com)-- The Geothermal Resources Council (GRC) will hold a two-day geothermal workshop in Jakarta, Indonesia, on 2-3 June, 2014.

The GRC Workshop titled Geothermal Drilling, Well Testing, Reservoir Monitoring And Management, is being held just before the 2nd Indonesia International Geothermal Conference and Exhibition (IIGCE) on 4-6 June.

Three GRC members have been chosen to present: Bill Rickard, President, Geothermal Resource Group, Paul von Hirtz, President Thermochem, Inc., and Subir Sanyal, Senior Advisor, GeothermEx Inc.

The workshop will provide practical information to anyone interested in geothermal energy, including developers, financiers, utilities, regulators, public-interest organizations, and members of the academic community.

IIGCE 2014 is held in conjunction with the 14th Annual Scientific Convention of the Indonesian Geothermal Association (INAGA). It represents a golden opportunity for attendees to network with colleagues and potential business partners from around the world, as well as showcasing the geothermal industry in Indonesia.

The conference consists of plenary sessions, technical paper presentations and scientific exchanges. On the final day of the conference there will be a field trip to the 200 MW Pertamina Geothermal Operation in Kamojang.
