1st Easy Enhances Cloud Platform Resilience with TeleData Data Centres
TeleData UK Ltd (www.teledata.co.uk), providers of well-connected and highly secure Manchester data centre and colocation solutions, has today announced details of a new service contract with 1st Easy Ltd to provide dedicated and secure rack space; enhancing the resilience of the company’s cloud hosting solutions.
As a regional leader in high resilience VMware based cloud data centre platform delivery, 1st Easy focus on offering true commercial resilience at every level, including networks and cloud data centre resources. As part of this strategy, 1st Easy have built out cloud platforms with two independently run data centre operators, with TeleData being the latest.
TeleData own and operate data centres in Manchester with a focus on the delivery of highly secure colocation space. The data centre, operating since 2007, is the only one in the North West with BS5979 security based on-site and provides power infrastructure resilience in up to 2(N+N) configuration, making the site one of the most resilient colocation data centres in the UK.
In addition to high levels of resilience, the carrier neutral data centre benefits from multiple carriers on site which include Vodafone, C&W, SSE, Level3, Cogent, Allegro, BT and Virgin Media. Carriers utilise diverse ducting and fibre entry points to maximise network diversity into the facility.
Stephen Bell, Co-founder of 1st Easy said, “We have been using TeleData for many years now and they have demonstrated overall reliability and a very high degree of security compliance in the design of their data centre operations; both key factors in our decision to use them for our second cloud build out. Their new TD2 data centre hall has an advanced air conditioning and power delivery design. Combine this with them being the only true ‘cloud capable’ data centre in the North West outside of the Manchester city centre’s critical disaster zone, the decision to use TeleData was an obvious and easy one.”
Following the deployment in TeleData, 1st Easy now offer clients complete commercial resilience in networks, cloud resources and data. Enhancing the cloud platform solutions across multiple data centre sites provides full disaster recovery solutions and demonstrates true independence at every layer of infrastructure. This resilience allows the company to adopt a more consultative approach, with balanced recommendations, during engagements with clients.
Matthew Edgley, Sales Director at TeleData comments, “We’re delighted to be extending our relationship with 1st Easy. Attracting such reputable cloud hosting providers, particularly those demonstrating the growth and potential of 1st Easy, is key to our own strategy and growth plans. The network availability and resilience on offer within our Manchester data centre makes us a very attractive proposition to this thriving sector and we look forward to long term partnerships with similar dynamic organisations who position themselves at the very forefront of the cloud hosting arena.”
