Cat Care Society Partners with LoveAnimals.org to Raise Funds to Help Shelter Kitty Wakko

Cat Care Society (CCS) is partnering with LoveAnimals.org to raise funds to help Shelter Kitty Wakko during May 2014. Wakko has a congenital abnormality of his nasal passage that requires sophisticated diagnostics and treatment so he can be adopted to his forever home.

Denver, CO, May 09, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Through May 31, Cat Care Society (CCS) is raising funds for a shelter cat named Wakko, who has a congenital abnormality requiring specialized diagnostics and treatment. The announcement is made by CCS President Diane Stoner, who says, "We’re asking the public to donate online at LoveAnimals.org help Wakko, Cat Care Society's darling teenage kitty in need of medical tests to better diagnose what we believe to be a birth defect. This defect is in his nasal passage, and it prevents him from breathing easily.”

CCS has partnered with LoveAnimals.org to help us raise funds to cover the cost of Wakko's diagnostic tests. 100% of donations will go to Wakko's diagnostic test costs - LoveAnimals.org does not keep a percentage of the funds. Stoner explains: “Initial estimates for just the diagnostics, not treatment, have been around $3,500. Again, that's just for tests and diagnosis. If a reasonable treatment is available, it will require additional funds, and we cannot estimate those until we fully understand Wakko’s specific needs. And the best news - the board of directors has designated up to $1,000 to be used as a matching gift. All gifts will be matched by the board (up to the $1,000 value of the matching gift fund).”
