QNAP Security Upgrades VMobile 2.1 Mobile App Adding Audio Support

Taipei, Taiwan, May 25, 2014 --(PR.com)-- QNAP® Security, a professional Linux-based stand-alone NVR provider, today upgraded its VMobile mobile app to version 2.1 to improve usability & efficiency in surveillance management with extra audio support and the ability to remember video streaming settings in single channel video monitoring.

In order to achieve effective video surveillance, background audio in monitored areas is equally important as video. The inclusion of audio functionality in VMobile 2.1, coupled with IP cameras with audio support, allows administrators to gain a greater situational awareness and more important information remotely on their mobile devices. If is especially helpful in the occurrence of alarm events for rapidly acquiring key information.

The VMobile mobile app enables users to manage VioStor NVR surveillance systems anytime and anywhere on iOS® and Android™ devices. It provides camera live-view, PTZ control, instant event notifications, video search by date and time, video playback, and instant video sharing.

"Besides audio functionality, VMobile 2.1 now remembers video streaming settings for single channel video monitoring," said Andrew Yu, product manager of QNAP Security. "It automatically remembers previously selected streaming settings, and improves operation efficiency as administrators do not need to reapply their settings every time."

Availability
VMobile 2.1 mobile app is now available for iOS and Android on the App Store and Google Play respectively.
