Firewürst Wins People’s Choice Award at East Meets West Food Festival

Local Restaurant Voted Top Dining Choice at Morrisville, N.C., Festival Celebrating the Town’s Rich Cultural Diversity Through Food, Music and Global Performances.

Raleigh, NC, May 30, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Firewürst, the leading provider of premium flame-grilled sausages, burgers and hot dogs, was named the winner of the People’s Choice Award at the 2014 East Meets West Food Festival in Morrisville, N.C. on Saturday, May 17. Attendees at the festival, which celebrated Morrisville’s rich cultural diversity through food, music, performance and visual arts, selected Firewürst as their favorite eatery from 14 different area restaurants. Firewürst served up some of their famous dogs and sausages for attendees at the event including bratwursts, all-beef hot dogs, spicy chicken sausages and veggie hot dogs.

Founded in 2012 by a father and son team, Firewürst has grown to three locations across the Triangle. Inspired by great grandfather Charles Rotar, a Romanian immigrant and sausage-maker extraordinaire, CEO Bill Morgenstern has passed the passion down to his sons, Chas and Dan. The Morgenstern family has carried on the family legacy over the years and now offers customers a fast casual restaurant dining experience which celebrates the traditional hot dog favorites like the Coney Island and Chicago dog, along with creative, original recipes such as the Firewürst Royale – a sweet chicken sausage with fried egg, cheddar cheese and Dijon mustard on top of sourdough bread. Firewürst serves up premium flame-grilled sausages and hot dogs that are 100 percent all-beef, no filler and Certified Angus Beef™ burgers, along with delicious homemade firesides including fries and slaw and fresh baked buns.
