Employee Benefit's Company Creates Video to Explain Affordable Care Act

St. Louis business introduces informational video for employers to help employees understand the act's details.

Saint Louis, MO, June 11, 2014 --(PR.com)-- In order to make the Affordable Care Act (ACA) simpler to understand, Sonus Benefits recently introduced its own interactive video that is accessible on their company website.

Sonus Benefits by MSMF was created in 1990 as the employee benefits division of MSMF, a wealth management company that specializes in financial solutions. Sonus Benefits is one of Missouri's only members of Benefit Advisors Network (BAN), a premier network of nationally credentialed independent benefit advisory and consulting companies.

Thomas Murphy, managing partner at Sonus Benefits, said the video "prompts you to answer questions that directly pertain to your individual situation," he said. "Once your choices are selected, the video briefly explains the health insurance options available to you in a comprehensible summary."

ACA was signed into law by President Barack Obama in 2010 as part of his administration's healthcare reform agenda to increase coverage and affordability. The law includes many provisions such as the expansion of Medicaid eligibility, the establishment of health insurance exchanges, and the prohibition by health insurers from denying coverage due to pre-existing conditions.

Sonus Benefits is located at 12213 Big Bend Rd. Services include benefits consulting and solutions, wellness programs, risk management, and compliance support. For more information, call managing partner Thomas Murphy at (314) 677-2550.
