The PDS-5105D-MTCP is equipped with one RS-232/485 port and nine RS-485 ports. The removable on-board terminal block connector allows for easy wiring for industrial applications. For network flexibility, the PDS-5105D-MTCP is also equipped with a 2 port 10/100Base-Tx Ethernet switch. The module features a LAN Bypass function which allows for uninterrupted network traffic flow through the Ethernet ports even when it is powered off.
With its protocol independence, a small operating system and flexibility, the PDS-5105D-MTCP is able to meet the demands of many network-enabled applications. It includes a powerful and reliable XServer programming structure that allows users to quickly design robust Ethernet applications. The built-in, high-performance MiniOS7 operating system boots up in the PDS-5105D-MTCP up in just one second and has fast response times. The user-friendly VxComm Driver and Utility allows users to easily turn the built-in COM ports of the PDS-5105D-MTCP into standard COM ports on a PC. PDS-5105D-MTCP also works as a Modbus TCP to RTU/ASCII gateway for easy integration into Modbus systems.
