The United Sportsmen’s Youth Foundation, a non-profit 501 c(3) organization dedicated to youth conservation education and youth introduction to the shooting and outdoor sports, announces the First Annual "River Warrior Challenge" July 25-26-27.

The USYF “River Clean” started as a group of kids picking up some empty bottles and cans along the Pecatonica River banks around town and has evolved into a cleanup of over 100 Miles of the river with, literally, tons of garbage being removed and either recycled or disposed of.

This year, that single event has been expanded to an entire weekend of fun and fanfare. Thanks to their sponsors and donors, there are many great prizes, raffles, and activities to participate in.

The Wilderness 2K Walk is at 1PM on Friday, June 25 and is a perfect event for kids, seniors, and the physically-challenged.

The First Annual "River Warrior Mud Run" is a 4K race that will take place Saturday beginning at 8 AM and will challenge your legs, lungs, and body.

The first annual "River Warrior Race" will be held on Saturday between Tutty’s Crossing and Rock Hollow Conservation Club (6 River Miles) starting at 10:30AM and will have both Canoe and kayak divisions.

Anyone that completes three events, including the River Clean, will be declared an "Ultimate River Warrior"and win a separate certificate, prize, and T-Shirt.
A Sand Volleyball tournament will also be held over the weekend.

Evening entertainment Friday and Saturday beginning at 7PM- Live bands, beer tents, bar, contests and activities.
