Wheel Fun Rentals Offers Free Rentals to Nonprofit Organizations in the Greater New Orleans Area

New Orleans, LA, July 19, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Wheel Fun Rentals announces it will be offering free recreational rentals this summer to nonprofit organizations in the Greater New Orleans area! Between July 16th and August 27th, Wheel Fun Rentals will donate rental equipment, completely free of charge, to two charities every Wednesday.

Officially named "Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals," this program offers local charities their choice of bicycles, four-wheel Surreys, low-to-the-ground specialty cycles, or a variety of watercraft at Wheel Fun Rentals’ City Park location in New Orleans. The program accommodates two nonprofit groups each Wednesday with up to 20 participants in each group. Reservations are required, and dates book up fast. Nonprofits are encouraged to make their reservation as soon as possible by emailing wheelfunrentalsnola@msn.com.

“We are excited to partner with and promote healthy outdoor activities to our nonprofit friends,” said John Fryhling, local Franchise Owner. “This is a great way to see the park from either a boat or bike.”

New Orleans’ 1,300-acre outdoor oasis is one of the nation’s oldest urban parks. Stop and smell the roses in the Botanical Garden. Enjoy the fine arts at the open-air Besthoff Sculpture Garden. Cruise around the Big Lake on a chopper-inspired custom cycle, grab a cruiser bike and navigate to the City Park track designed for the 1992 Olympic trials, or enjoy gallivanting under the world's largest stand of mature live oaks on a signature Surrey. Those looking for water-bound adventures can head over to City Park’s Big Lake and select from a wide variety of boats. Nonprofit groups have access to the full fleet of equipment for up to two hours, so try them all.

Choose from a variety of unique cycles, including a three- or six-person Surrey, a low-to-the-ground Deuce Coupe, Chopper, or Quad Sport, or a classic cruiser bike, mountain bike, or kids bike. Wheel Fun Rentals at City Park’s watercraft rentals include one- and two-seat kayaks, canoes, stand up paddleboards, and aluminum fishing boats. Nonprofits, don’t miss this unique way to explore City Park for free.

The “Wednesdays with Wheel Fun Rentals” program is the perfect opportunity for nonprofits to thank their volunteers, show appreciation to donors, or use as a group and teambuilding event for staff. Of course, kids are welcome, too. Children of any age are permitted to use boats with a chaperone that is at least 18 years old. Children 12 and older may use boats without a chaperone on board. Children must be 16 or older to drive the Surreys and Deuce Coupes, and at least 12 to ride the Choppers and Quad Sports. Reminder: only two nonprofits are booked each Wednesday, and reservations fill up fast. Nonprofit organizations should reserve their spot today by contacting Wheel Fun Rentals at wheelfunrentalsnola@msn.com. For more information about the program, please call (504) 300-1289.
