Upscale Plymouth Hair Salon Goes to “Great Lengths” to Make Customers Happy with their Hair

Plymouth, MA, October 22, 2007 --(PR.com)-- Now those who live south of Boston and on Cape Cod don’t have to travel very far to find a hair designer who is certified in designing and applying hair extensions. Elements the Salon, located in Plymouth, are one of only a few providers of customized hair extensions outside the Boston area.

Elements the Salon offers semi-permanent “Great Lengths” hair extensions for everyday wear. These extensions are not the temporary, clip-on extensions that are worn once for a special occasion. They are individual pieces of hair that are individually bonded to the clients’ hair and last four to six months.

Vicky Shay, Salon Designer and Bridal Consultant who has been with Elements for almost four years, applies all the salon’s hair extensions. Ms. Shay was educated in New York at Great Lengths and is certified in hair extensions.

Hair extensions are not wigs nor are they artificial extensions, they are made from real human hair. With a wide variety of colors and textures to choose from, the hair extensions are customized to each client. The application process is a lengthy six to nine hours, but clients are always thrilled with the results.

“Our hair extensions are not like the clip on extensions that are worn just for a special night out. They can actually be worked into your hair process. Hair extensions are a great way to add color and dimension to your hair without changing your actual hair color. They also serve to improve the quality of a client’s natural hair, which makes them very much worth the investment,” noted Ms. Shay.

She continued, “We have many brides with shorter hair who, instead of waiting and letting their hair grow out, opt for extensions. That way, they can continue to have their hair cut and styled right up until their wedding day. After the wedding, we can remove the extensions without cutting. We use a process that simply slips them off.”

Those who are interested in extensions must meet for an initial consultation with Ms. Shay, to determine whether they are a good candidate for extensions. If so, a full day is set aside at the salon for the application of extensions. Afterwards, Ms. Shay discusses maintenance and upkeep and a return visit is scheduled one week later to ensure the extensions are holding properly. Then, the client need only to return for regular hair trims.
