)-- San Antonio-based database marketing company Stirista made an appearance at the Ninth Annual Bridge to Integrated Marketing and Fundraising Conference (“Bridge Conference”) held July 9 – 11 in Washington, D.C. This nationally-renowned event gathered thousands of direct marketers, fundraisers, and charities together to address non-profit marketing needs.
First held in July 2006, the Bridge Conference is now hosted by some of the biggest names in direct marketing and fundraising. The event is held by the Association of Fundraising Professionals as well as the Direct Marketing Association of Washington with the goal of providing industry leaders with state-of-the-art educational programming.
Stirista made an appearance at this year’s Bridge Conference to learn about the ever-changing needs of non-profits—a cause Stirista is passionate about. The Texas-based company is so eager to lend a hand to established non-profits that it will often provide services free of charge. Stirista made a splash at the conference by giving away $500 in a gift certificate raffle to non-profit marketers.
“We want to help those in our community who are making a difference. Events like the Bridge Conference allow us to better address non-profit needs while improving our direct marketing efforts,” says Stirista Marketing Manager, Makenzi Lindamood. The company, just one of several hundred in attendance, plans on using the skills and connections its representatives made at the Bridge Conference to improve its non-profit services.
“We’ve always been a little bit different here at Stirista. We want to share our out-of-the-box approach not only with clients large and small, but also with established charity organizations. It’s just the right thing to do,” Lindamood says.
