Wake Education Partnership Receives John Rex Endowment Grant

Funds will help improve the Partnership’s communications and fund development efforts.

Raleigh, NC, July 23, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Wake Education Partnership announced today it has received a capacity-building grant from the John Rex Endowment that will further the Partnership’s mission to provide every student in the Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) with excellent educational opportunities.

The $39,462 grant will enable the Partnership to implement strategies to increase its effectiveness in the business community and community-at-large. Over the next five months, the consulting firm Armstrong McGuire will guide the Partnership through rebranding, collateral development, training for board members and several other improvement activities. By solidifying its communications and fund development capabilities, the Partnership aims to get the greater Wake County community more involved in creating a strong economy that is built on schools.

“In the past, we haven’t always been able to let the community know about the great work we are doing and how they can get involved,” said Steve Parrott, President of Wake Education Partnership. “These funds will help us position ourselves to create a bigger impact on education in Wake County and invite the community to help us make a difference.”

Wake Education Partnership will submit a final progress report to the John Rex Endowment upon completion of the grant in December.
