Celebrity Journalist Lexi Lewis Launches Mobile App

The celebrity journalist Lexi Lewis offers her fans an alternate platform from which to follow the stars.

Tampa, FL, August 02, 2014 --(PR.com)-- Lexi Lewis, Celebrity Journalist, Announcer and Radio Host is on radio and in print, and now as of July 2014, available via a new mobile app. Her website, lexilewisonline.com, serves as a portal to her affiliates but due to the increasing popularity of mobile apps, she felt it would be an added value to offer this type of technology for her followers. “I’m excited to give my followers the ability to access my celebrity interviews right at their fingertips in a mobile-friendly format. My app was developed by Max Mobile Apps in about 3-4 days. The beauty of it is, it’s a web-based app, therefore, no download is needed and it works on any platform. It’s definitely the way to go” said Lewis. Max Mobile Apps is definitely making a name for itself in the marketplace by providing apps for professional athletes, celebrities and more. Further, Lexi has partnered with the organization and become the national spokesperson for Max Mobile Apps.

Lexi is a native of Cleveland, Ohio but currently calls Florida home. She graduated from Arcadia University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management then went on to receive her Master’s degree in Computer Information Systems from the University of Phoenix. After spending 20 years in the corporate world, Lexi has found her calling and is very passionate about music, interviewing celebrities and announcing. She is a Contributing Writer for both Smooth Jazz Magazine and Detroit International Jazz Magazine and the Sr. Entertainment Editor for Onyx Magazine. Coupled with that, she has two radio shows where she can be heard worldwide; The Weekend Wind Down with Lexi Lewis on KSONStudio1.com based out of California and The Lexi Lewis Show on STARR98.com; one of music producer Maurice Starr’s stations out of Florida.

Through these media outlets, she has interviewed the late George Duke, Fred Hammond, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Lamm (Chicago), Eddie Levert Sr (O’Jays), Otis Williams (Temptations), veteran actor Obba Babatunde and many more. “I have met and become friends with so many wonderful people that I’ve interviewed. Each interview is special to me in its own way. My goal is to ask intelligent questions that they’ve never been asked before and I’m happy to say I’m usually successful! When I make a person pause and really think about the question I’ve asked, I know I’ve done my job well. Additionally, my goal is to interview as many people as I can who are considered ‘legendary’ in their industry. I’m excited to say that I’ve been able to interview several so far.”

Because of her many media affiliates, she felt it was necessary to create her own website, lexilewisonline.com, so that followers would be able to enjoy her interviews, concert photography, and more all in one place. She recently added a new section to the website titled “Endorsements.” In this section, many celebrities make statements about Lexi’s character, writing and interview skills. People who’ve given statements include Otis Williams, Obba Babatunde, Skip Martin and Sisaundra Lewis (The Voice 2014). Tony Bennett personally sought out Lexi’s contact information, then wrote and mailed a letter to her expressing how much he enjoyed reading her concert review of his show and stated he hopes to meet her someday; this too can be found on the website. Now, all of this same information can be found in the mobile app.

In addition to being a celebrity journalist and radio host, Lexi is an announcer. She has emceed small private events to large music festivals with several thousand in attendance and everything in between. Lewis said “I love being on stage announcing and getting the crowed hyped up; it’s a very comfortable platform for me. I’m ready to be invited to the Essence Festival to announce; that would be more than awesome!”

Lexi has been invited to appear on The Samy Priso Show, a late night talk show on Afrotainment’s network that is seen nationwide in the United States and Canada. “I’m looking forward to appearing on the show in August; it should be fun as Samy is also a comic. It will also be interesting to observe the behind the scenes activity because I want to host my own talk show. I’ve got an interesting concept for my talk show but I just need a television network to listen to it; it’s a winner!” said Lewis.
