Professional Attains Certification

Regional handwriting expert, Debra Dunlap, attains certification through the Scientific Association of Forensic Examiners.

Debra Sue Dunlap, a Forensic Document Examiner and Handwriting Specialist with Liberty Investigative Services, recently met the character standards and successfully completed the educational, training, and testing requirements for earning the prestigious title of Certified Forensic Document Examiner by the professional organization, the Scientific Association of Forensic Examiners.

“It is our pleasure to present Debra Dunlap with this Certification,” said Eileen Hurley, SAFE Certification Chairman, “and our fortune to have her as an important and active member of our Association.” She currently holds the positions of SAFE Secretary and newsletter editor for the organization.

Dunlap has been a handwriting specialist and document examiner since 2003 and is also a teacher for a course in document examination. She specializes in examinations of questioned and disputed documents and handwriting in wills, deeds, trusts, anonymous writing, altered documents, threatening notes or anything containing handwriting in question. Ms. Dunlap resides in Ottawa, Kansas, and provides handwriting identification services to the Kansas City area, as well as regionally and nationally.
